Rehabilitation Services

Rehabilitation services assist clients in relearning lost independent life skills.

Living Skills Training

Alcott’s successful Community Living Program, developed in 1995, continues to help clients regain the full array of skills required to live a productive life.  This empowering 14-week program teaches individuals how to manage an apartment – including cleaning, budgeting and cooking - as well as maintaining a support system and understanding how to manage their psychiatric medications.   The program teaches them how to manage their symptoms, increase coping strategies, and develop effective communication skills.

Dual Diagnosis

Many people living with mental illness also struggle with substance abuse.  Dual diagnosis services are provided for those who seek assistance in reducing substance abuse.
