Prevention and Early Intervention Services

The Alcott Center provides services for adults and seniors experiencing early mental health symptoms of distress.  Services focus on short term, low intensity intervention with the goal of strengthening an individual’s coping strategies, thus increasing personal resiliency and reducing the need for long term mental health treatment.  In these stressful times, many experience high levels of stress, anxiety, and depression because of loss of a job, spouse, or security.  The Alcott Center’s clinical staff are trained to provide evidence-based/ community defined/promising practice mental health services to individuals who are experiencing mental health issues and would benefit from therapy.  A thoughtful, focused time with a therapist can help and lead to a plan of recovery.  Adjunctive medication services may be available.
