Residential Services
In an effort to provide a safe place to live and grow, the Alcott Center has three types of residential services designed to meet the changing needs of Alcott Center clients.

The Graduate House – A 42-bed licensed care facility provides a safe and accepting residential environment to adults with severe mental illness. Members are given 24-hour support, housekeeping, meals, medication services, and social activities aimed at reducing the impact of their illness and increasing their level of community involvement.
The Transitional Residential Services Program- An 12-bed time-limited residential program that provides 24-hour residential care and comprehensive mental health services to adults referred by the Exodus Urgent Care Center. Services include case management, mental health services, crisis intervention, medication services, meals, social activities, and housekeeping to adults experiencing problems due to mental illness. Individuals may have been homeless and in want of connection to on-going mental health services.

The Plaza – A 28-unit supportive housing complex provides consumers with an opportunity to live independently or in a shared apartment. Plaza residents are graduates of Alcott ’s Community Living Program who manage their own apartments, medications, and meal preparation. The residents through group celebrations, outings, and shared experiences promote a unique sense of community.

FAMILY SERVICES
Family involvement is a vital component of all of the services provided at the Alcott Center. Families are encouraged to take an active role in the lives of their mentally ill family member and may participate in educational programs, family therapy, and support groups.

CREATIVE ARTS PROGRAM
The Alcott Center’s Visiting Artists Project hosts local artists who hold seminars and tours of their studios to inspire and teach clients about art. Artists such as Laddie John-Dill, Daniel Alonzo, Les Biller, and Muramasa Kudo have inspired and taught clients about different art techniques and appreciation. Several consumer artists involved with the project organize additional weekly activities. Consumer art is featured at the Alcott Center ’s ArtWorks event.

CONSUMER RUN ACTIVITIES
Alcott Center offers consumer run activities including support groups, social opportunities, and leisure time activities aimed at reducing feelings of isolation and combating the stigma of mental illness. Project Return the Next Step and Service Area 5 Consumer Advisory Committee are among the activities offered.

ARMER TRAINING INSTITUTE
The Alcott Center educates and trains individuals in the biological, social, and interpersonal aspects of mental illness. To this end, we provide supervision and training to graduate students pursuing careers in mental health.
